SO, what to write about... School is chugging right along. Robert helped me paint some of the walls in my classroom and it's already easier to live in. Amazing how color does that. I'm excited to keep decorating/putting up visuals in it now. I was waiting to paint before I really set up shop... 1 & 1/2 years later... but again, we all know that I don't update as I should. Hence, this blog entry being soooo far away from my previous one.
One crazy-great thing that happened over the Thanksgiving holiday: Robert and I were *gasp* cleaning & rearranging and I came across some school papers from my original grad classes from 9 years ago. I found a story that I wrote for one of Tina's classes (see previous blog if you don't know who Tina is - and you want to know her, TRUST ME). I thought the story was lost in either our flood or the transfer of files from computer to computer during which some things don't make it. I found a hard copy!! I'm VERY excited! I love the story. More of that to come...
Not a long blog, but updated (leave me alone, Katie-bean! :-P) and spruced up a bit. Safe seasons, people. Memories not material crap. I tried to use a different word than crap, but it best describes the material stuff that's not important. And yet I still like to go to Nordstrom... hm... can you say 'hypocrite??' I can. I am!

Yay for Karen blogging! As we sit on the newly moved couch in the newly de-cluttered living room, I'm (quickly) reflecting on the year. What a year it has been.
Love you sweetheart!
Yay! I have found you in the blog world :) Man how fast time goes by! It looks like you and the Bob are doing well. Glad to hear that you weathered the crazy snow and ice. Joe and I had a tree fall on our house...Exciting! Anyway, it is good to sort of catch up in a general way via blogging. We would love to have you and the Hub over so we can hang out and you guys can meet Joy! Untill then, feel free to check up on us through our blog. Much Love,
Jess
I know what you mean about the crazy middle school phase.
I LOVE the photo of your living room, Karen. The colors, the arrangements, the simplicity, the tree. I gaze into it and feel comforted somehow.
